About the Plan

The superintendent of our prison cares about drug issues very much. He gave a command to solicit donations from the society. Starting from 2001, we obtained financial support from the Formosa Plastic Group to operate the Xiang Yang Project. At present, three stages of the plan have been executed. In the first stage, art therapy was regarded as the core. Family day was held to improve family relationships. In stage 2, we followed up on the conditions of discharged inmates, most of them were working part time in non-professional jobs. Therefore, in addition to the courses offered in stage 1, we added the Level C technician certificate course for funeral services in order to help participants obtain professional certifications and facilitate their employment. The courses provided in stage 3 are the continuation of those in stage 2.
